Recently, Mark answered the following question:
Angels
After reading MaRo’s response to this question, I could not help but wonder why this is the direction chosen by R&D. What is it about angels that makes them warrant a fixed gender?
If the art for Malach of the Dawn is any indication, male angels are definitely something that bring another level of depth to Magic.

Demons
I started to wonder if there was any other creature type that had a similar limiting factor imposed on its creative direction, and I realized that, for the most part, demons take on a masculine appearance. Is this on purpose? If so, again, I ask, Why? Could female demons also bring more depth to the game?

If anyone can take the female demon and give it a new and interesting creative spin that does not involve yet another scantily-clad woman with horns and a tail, it is the creative minds behind the art of Magic.
Angels & Demons
What do all of you think? Should Magic stop following its current trends of female angels and male demons? Or should they keep their current course and use the gender gap as an easy visual cue to separate the embodiments of righteousness from the demonic fiends?
