For all its dominance in formats like Modern and Legacy, we haven’t seen much of the Eldrazi in Standard. Even then, what few instances we have seen have been largely Blue-based, featuring cards like Whirler Rogue to help force through damage once Siege Rhinos and Reflector Mages begin stalling up the ground. Nartian323 is looking to change all of that with an interesting new take on the Eldrazi:

This is an interesting build of Eldrazi because it doesn’t fit into either the aggressive or ramp-based categories. Instead, this deck is firmly midrange, featuring Nissa, Vastwood Seer, Hedron Crawler, and Catacomb Sifter to help work your way up to the powerful 4- and 5-drops like Reality Smasher and Thought-Knot Seer.
However, what sets this deck apart from other midrange decks is its ability to trump other creatures in the mirror. Ghostfire Blade gives you the ability to trump just about everything outside of World Breaker in combat, which means your monsters can rumble in with impunity. Similarly, Bearer of Silence gives you a way to generate card advantage against even the largest monsters as long as you can use the size of your creatures and occasional removal spells to keep the board under control.
Perhaps the most powerful aspect of the Green splash is the combination of Hissing Quagmire and Sylvan Advocate. Advocate is a resilient, early-game beater as well as a substantial late-game threat. Additionally, its synergy with Hissing Quagmire makes it even more threatening as the game goes on. A 4/4 Quagmire demands either a removal spell or a double block out of most opponents, allowing you to grind out the last few cards and points of damage on your way to victory.
