How exactly do you do that? It starts with Inspiring Statuary. This card lets you use your cheap utility artifacts as pseudo-moxes when casting your engine spells. The key engine for this deck is Paradoxical Outcome and Baral's Expertise. These both help you cast extra spells, and play particularly well with cheap artifacts to help pay for them. Your goal is to string together enough Ornithopters and Mox Ambers to gain enough life to Aetherflux Reservoir your opponent to death. Alternatively, you can just leverage the engine to gain enough life to keep yourself alive against opposing aggressive decks while you build up to a big enough Paradoxical Outcome to actually kill them.

The two biggest changes for this deck are the inclusion of Baral, Chief of Compliance and Mox Amber. Baral makes all your spells cheaper and gives you the opportunity to have Mox Amber actually generate mana. Previous builds played cards that were always horrendous, like Bone Saw in these slots. Now, you get a little bit of consistent acceleration from Baral and the potential for truly explosive and unfair starts that leverage Mox Amber.

If you've been looking for a true combo deck in Standard, this may be as close as we're going to get in this format. It's been a long time coming, but maybe the Aetherflux Reservoir storm deck is finally consistent and resilient enough for real Standard play.
