Conflux review on Green... Oh my, do I think Green got better? Heck Yeah!!!

Aloha and Welcome to my 4th installment of the Conflux set.

• Beacon Behemoth - Nothing wrong with a 5/3 for 5cc. You just wont see this one in constructed. I take this guy around pick 4+ but I think any of the 5 power green guys go 4+.
• Cliffrunner Behemoth - At 4cc this guy's pretty good. If you dropped a Turn 3 Wooly Thoctar this guy's VERY GOOD. Unfortunately, it's not enough to put him into Constructed (unless it's Alara Block) but he's easily a 1st pick in the Conflux pack.
• Cylian Sunsinger - I believe Patrick and I said that Naya improved minimally from Conflux and this is one of the reason why Naya improved at all. He's not great albeit he is a Grizzly Bear. However, with the "Naya Tron" he becomes a pretty good guy. Figure the odds of fulfilling the "each other creature with the same name".
• Ember Weaver - Probably one of the more annoying creatures when you have an air force ready to strike. The Weaver is a very economical creature at 3cc and with a red buddy he can be a 3/3 which makes him very good. WAIT! Don't forget First Strike. I'd probably think twice before I thought about putting him in vs the Fae. Not a constructed card.
• Gluttonous Slime - 2/2 for 3cc isn't too bad. Flash him out after a couple of your guys are headed to the yard in combat and you've got a pretty darn good beast. I don't see this one in Constructed.
• Matca Rioters - 5/5 for 3cc? THAT's WHAT I'm Talking about! I don't need to say how I feel about Domain cards. What I do want to do is find out if I can make Domain get into Standard. You'd better believe that this guy is worth playing in Limited at 3 or even 5 colors. I pick this guy 3+
• Nacatl Savage - 2/1 for 2 is ok. Pro Artifact is ok. Playing Nacatl Savage in a Non-Artifact environment... Priceless :) I wouldn't say this guy is bad, but don't look to see him in Constructed unless it's Extended.
• Noble Hierarch - One of the Chase Rares in Conflux and no doubt worth taking first. You'll see him everywhere, at least for a little while.
• Paleoloth - Bomb Rare for limited. Rare-Binder fodder in Constructed. Deja Vu all over again.[/card]
• Sacellum Archers - Naya got quite a few guys but none that really bring Naya to the top of the Shard Pool. You won't see this guy in Constructed but should be played in Naya. His ability is awesome.
• Scattershot Archer - The Savior to all non-Faerie decks around the world, I really doubt the impact of this guy will be felt for long. He's still an easy target for Terror any any form of popular removal, but I'm sure people will still try. Not the best guy to include on your starting line up in limited but can make the difference versus a mob in the air.
• Thornling - Bomb Rare in limited and just might be playable in Constructed. I just hope I have a Sower of Temptation when you play him :P
• Tukatongue Thallid - I like this piece of cheese. Not much different than Dragon Fodder. I can see him getting into decks in limited but certainly NOT a constructed gamer. This guy comes back all the time for a 2nd chance to make your team.
• Wild Leotau - 5/4 for 4cc is a beating. Upkeep is the only take away, but I think it's worth it. Not a Constructed card but certainly a high draft pick.
• Shard Convergence - Limited, Good. Constructed, too slow. High Draft pick because you'll draw 2-4 cards but too slow for constructed.
• Soul's Majesty - With so many 5 power creatures in Green, this card is a potential game breaker. Does Constructed even play creatures anymore? Not for this card.
• Spore Burst - For all of you Timmy's and Patricks, I'd say this is the card for you. Anyone else, I'd say pass...
• Filigree Fracture - Yeah Yeah Yeah. Play it vs Esper. That's all.
• Might of Alara - With M10 being on the Horizon. Domain just might break into Constructed. If it does, you'd better be afraid. Wild Nacatyl + Might of Alara hit's for 8 on Turn 3. Legacy might even see Gaea and the Might come together to really put a hurtin' on folks. Good Card.
• Sylvan Bounty - During the Prerelease I tried to critically Banefire an opponent where he then responded with a quick gain of 8 life. I didn't even know the card did that! I love cycling cards.
