Let's face it, Magic players love Mono-Black Devotion.
While it lacks some of the disgusting things that Mono-Green Devotion deck can do, this is both a positive and a negative because while it may not be as explosive, it still has a gameplay that is both awesome to play and successful!

My take on Mono-Black Devotion is much more creature heavy than more traditional versions, making sure to play a ton of cards that both create a board presence and build your devotion.
Ayara, First of Locthwain and Sanguine Brushstroke both provide three pips of devotion each, while also presenting a powerful sacrifice engine to draw cards and drain your opponent out. Throw in the early creatures and token makers, as well as a little removal and the incredible card draw of Castle Locthwain, and you've got a deck with a very nice engine
This deck is a blast every time I play it!
