Demilich is an awesome card.
From the crazy mana cost all the way through its many abilities and hoops to jump through, Demilich is an evocative and a crazy build around. You can't just put Demilich into any deck, as the skeleton demands certain things to make it work.
You don't just end up with Otherworldly Gaze in your deck by accident!

This deck was built by Ondrej Strasky and he tweeted about it after almost playing it at Worlds but deciding against it. As we saw in the matches that was probably the safer choice, although I'm sure I could have played better in spots to have improved the record as it was difficult to play.
Still, the deck has some serious potential.
It plays out much more like a Modern deck than a Standard deck, which is an awesome attribute to have. Your spells are all very cheap, while you're building toward an awesome engine that has great velocity and resilience. There's no doubt that Demilich is a powerful Magic card, but the cards around it need to be there as well.
This is a super fun deck for now, but as Standard grows in size and more sets are added it could become a serious contender. The bigger the format is, the better decks like this get.
