Still, I can’t argue with results. The new format is incredibly popular, and prereleases in my area were packed. I heard reports that the prerelease in Kitchener, Ontario area had over one hundred seventy people, which is absurd for a non-Toronto prerelease around here.
When I played the paper prerelease, I chose Azorius because it suits my play style the most, but based on what I saw, the Selesnya decks were the most successful. The past couple times I’ve drafted the set (well, okay two of the three times), I’ve been Selesnya and have been overall impressed with white and green. For those reasons, I went with the Conclave for the online prerelease.
You can check out how it went below. There’s not much of a text recap I can do with a Sealed deck for those of you who can’t (or don’t want to) check out the videos. But don’t worry; I haven’t forgotten about you. Drafting with Big Nass will be back on Monday with Return to Ravnica Drafts.
Enjoy the videos, and until next time, keep your eyes on the skies for Arnie Pye in the sky!
