After nearly two months delay, the world finally can rest peacefully knowing that Brad Nelson has won the Player of the Year title for 2010. He faced off with french Pro, Guillaume Matignon (who won the 2010 World Championship.) Faced with Magic's first-ever tie for Player of the Year, the DCI decided that the title would be determined at the first Pro Tour of 2011, Magic Weekend Paris.

Brad Nelson is the first American to win Player of the Year since Bob "The Great One" Maher for the 99-2000 season. It also snaps the five year streak of a Japanese player winning the title.
