Today during the break between draft and Modern at Pro Tour Fate Reforge, Director of Organized Play Helene Bergeot announced changes to the World Championship, World Magic Cup and the World Magic Cup Qualifiers.

First up are the World Magic Cup Qualifiers. These events will be taking place over three weekends in the latter half of 2015:

Two of these tournaments will be Standard while the remaining qualifier will be utilize Modern. This announcement will be made at some time next 30 days according to Bergeot.

Additionally any World Magic Cup Qualifiers that are estimated to be over 227 players will be split over two days.

The World Magic Cup will also be adding an eligible country in Malta. The World Magic Cup will be start December 11th and finish on December 13th, 2015, in Barcelona, Spain.

Finally this event has been moved and will now take place at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington September 27-30, 2015.
