The Director of Magic R&D Aaron Forsythe shared a rare article today, discussing what's to come over the next two weeks throughout the Magic 2015 preview season. He teased and confirmed plenty of exciting cards:

• The returning mechanic, convoke, will extend across all colors including a new implementation in blue.
• There is no consistent plane for the set, and it will feature specific callouts to locations for the story of Magic 2015 - Duels of the Planeswalkers.
• There is a cycle of legendary creatures, like the cycle that was included in Magic 2013.
• There is a Flinthoof Boar cycle that keys in the reverse direction, with a red creature getting a boost from having a Forest in play for example. (It's also implied the original cycle is coming back. As per Aaron: "As if ten different two-color deck-building themes weren't enough..."
• There will be "Paragons" (also referred to as lords) that encourage building around one color.
• Slivers return too, with an uncommon cycle of five and a mythic rare, implied to be a new Sliver leader of sorts. (As per Aaron: "...a new mythic rare Sliver that every Sliver aficionado has been waiting for.")

It's a tantalizing list of things that pulls Magic 2015 in numerous directions. While we'll know soon enough what all the action is about, what are you most excited to discover next?
