Before SCG Richmond, it was pretty clear Simic Nexus was going to be the deck to beat for the tournament. It was one we found in testing early and completely dominated everything else we tried and played against. While the win rates evened out toward the end the power level was too high to ignore or put down. In the video you see how fairly consistent the deck is and while there are some tough cards to beat (Thief of Sanity for example) that you can work through the rest of it. In many ways the deck is similar to a Splinter Twin where your opponent lives in constant fear of tapping out so they don't lose. Post board you get to pivot with incredibly powerful cards like Biogenic Ooze and God-Eternal Kefnet to really put a beating on an unprepared opponents. The incredible part about this ability to morph into a creature deck is your opponent still has to contend with the combo and failure to line up answers will result in a dominating victory for you.
