When I heard there was going to be a Cube on Magic Online only using Core Set cards, I just had to dive in. The Core Sets have had really good mono-colored cards, and with that in mind I decided to hedge toward that. I leaned into Mono-White because, on occasion, those decks are able to go very wide and kill fast. With most Cubes it hard to feel rewarded and my deck looked extremely mopey until the last pack when I was paid off pretty nicely. During the matches I played against some awesome decks which gives me hope for the next time I play. I was initially concerned Mono-colored would be the best thing to do, but I was pleasantly surprised.
