Sunday, November 8th - Magic the Gathering Pro Tour San Diego Qualifier

Location: TNLG Tournament Center Nashville, TN

Start Times: Registration is from 8am-10am with event starting after registration

Information: Qualify for Pro Tour, prizes include boxes of product and the top place receiving an invitation to compete at the First Pro Tour of 2010.

Format: The format for this event will be Sealed Deck using Zendikar product, with Swiss Rounds and a cut to the top 8. Each player will be given (6) Booster packs of Zendikar. Players will then construct a (40) card-minimum using cards only obtained from those packs. Any card not in the main deck will be used for a Sideboard. We will provide any lands needed for deck construction. Players may not trade, add or change any cards in their card pool. Players will be paired in a number of swiss rounds based upon attendance. Each player may play in all rounds of Swiss. After all swiss rounds have completed a cut to the top eight players will be made. Those top 8 players will play a single-elimination playoff for the top prizes.

Cost: The cost for this event will be $30.00 per player.

Prizes: We will be adding (3) booster packs of current product to the prize pool for each entry into the event. Our goal is to payout the top 20% of players into the event. For example if an event had 110 players the top 24 players would receive booster pack prizes with a scale system to award the higher players.

In addition the top 8 Players will receive top 8 pins (courtesy of Wizards of the Cost). First Place will also receive an invitation and travel voucher to compete at Pro Tour Honolulu. Wizards of the Coast has suspended Amatuer prize payouts for all PTQs. TNLG will continue to add (2) boxes of prize product to the pool to be given out to the top (4) Amatuers not making the top 8 cut. - Full prize payouts will be available at the site after round 2.
