This morning we suffered downtime due to our server exploding. Well, not literally exploding, but it certainly caught on fire. What? No fire? Fine. It got hot. It shut down. It took a siesta. It drank daquiries and sipped Mai Tais when it should have been on the job.

So we're firing it. It's gotten it's notice and once the new guy is fully online, we'll be moving ManaNation to its new home. Ideally this will be a seamless transition for you, but there is the chance that this might give you some downtime when the transition begins. Hang in there. We'll get through this together.

Should we have done this when we launched the new site design? Yes. Why didn't we? We didn't think we needed to quite yet. We've been planning to up the horse power behind the site for some time and have been waiting to purchase a shiny, new, ultra sexy server. But the right deal hadn't come along yet. We'll still do this at some point, but as a stop-gap we're going to go ahead and up the current hosting system.

If you're reading this, then the server move is complete. Welcome! This server should be faster, more structurally solid, and able to handle our growing audience. Combined with the new theme, ManaNation v3.0 is, well, awesome.
