As the elder statesman of the Hall of Fame, Bram Snepvangers has seen it all. Now he's going to see how that Hall of Fame ring fits.
The 2010 Hall of Fame class, announced last Sunday, has one more person. Initially only three players were believed to have received enough votes: Gabriel Nassif, Brian Kibler and Tomoharu Saito. After the votes were tabulated, Bram Snepvangers missed the HOF by one vote. However, it was soon realized that the votes were tallied using the incorrect multipliers.
This morning Brian David-Marshall announced in hisĀ Wizards.com article that there had been an error in the original calculation relating to the Selection Committee votes and the multiplier applied to them. Once the correct multiplier was applied, Snepvangers surpassed the 40% barrier to entry required for induction into the Hall of Fame. He will be inducted alongside Gabriel Nassif, Brian Kibler and Tomoharu Saito.
The 2010 Pro Tour Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at the World Championships in Chiba, Japan this December.
