Hello, Illumineers! We're back with another weekly update on Disney Lorcana. This week, we'll be discussing some early predictions into the first ever Continental Championship in Lorcana taking place in Paris, France this weekend, as well as details on how to get the latest promo, featuring Moana, and more!

EU Continental Championships takes place this weekend

This weekend is a very special weekend in Disney Lorcana for the competitive scene. Starting Friday, the EU Continental Championships kicks off with a day-0 last chance qualifier, in addition to some new and traditional side events. In the LCQ, 32 pods will fire consecutively bringing the 1st place of each pod into qualifying for the main continental event. They will then join all invitees from the EU DLCs on Saturday to compete with the top 16 players from previous DLC events in the EU. That yields 96 players for the main event, spanning over Saturday and Sunday. Good luck to the Illumineers who've made it this far! To watch from home, make sure to tune into Twitch, where the event will be broadcasted.

New Moana promo now available

A new Moana Disney Lorcana card is available as a promotion from select theaters in the US for qualifying ticket purchases for the sequel, Moana 2. The EU region got a head start in offering these cards, but now the US has the opportunity to acquire them as well. Use the following link to locate a theater in your area offering this promo.

A highly respectable player in our area, Mikey "Hazed," is back with a strong Azurite Sea meta Bluple deck and after watching his comprehensive video on the choices and why he feels this deck is strong in the meta, I had to shed some light on this. Hazed is extremely known for thinking outside the box when it comes to addressing the meta. One thing for certain is that you will rarely catch him playing more traditional ink pairings, and if he does, it'll never be what you would traditionally expect it to be.

Hazed believes that Amethyst is one of, if not the most, powerful inks in Disney Lorcana. Paired with the ability to ramp means you'll see your threats out on the board first before your opponent can, allowing you to apply pressure as soon as you've ramped once or twice. Once you get to your late game, your top end threats early on are usually enough to seal your opponent's fate.
