For a small set, Eldritch Moon is stuffed with legendary creatures. It’s also home to a few surprising cards that are bound to find Eternal homes, including some wickedly unfair Commander decks.
Ulrich of the Krallenhorde
First, we’ll look at Ulrich of the Krallenhorde. Instead of going werewolf tribal, we’re going to use the colors to push a Lands theme. Ulrich can then be cast to give your Green creatures a boost at the right time (such as a 5/3 Elemental token from Titania, Protector of Argoth), and will flip back and forth many times, picking off annoying non-Werewolf creatures you don’t control with his fight ability.
This is a heavily modified version of the Canadian Highlander deck I posted last December. It takes advantage of the new card Splendid Reclamation to return all the lands from your graveyard in one big shot. If one of those lands happens to be a Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle and a bunch of cards with the Mountain basic land type, you can burn an opponent or creature for a lot of damage. Or, with a Tireless Tracker in play, create a whole bunch of Clue tokens for lots of card drawing and counters on the Tracker.
Though we can’t run Dark Depths in this version, as it’s banned for good reason, we can still run a lot of the best lands in the format, such as Maze of Ith or Mystifying Maze for stopping crucial attacks (not necessarily people attacking you), or even The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale for getting rid of hordes of creatures that opponents can’t possibly pay for.
Also, just for the heck of it, it includes the Hanweir Garrison / Hanweir Battlements combo. See if you can assemble a Hanweir, the Writhing Township and hit someone for 13!

U/B Gisa and Geralf Combo
This artifact-based combo deck originally started Oona, Queen of the Fae. I realized her ability to make tokens is good, but why not try it with Gisa and Geralf instead to replay critical zombie creatures like Graveborn Muse and Sidisi, Undead Vizier for card drawing and tutoring, respectively?
This deck is designed to combo off Grim Monolith / Power Artifact to generate enough mana to Exsanguinate the board for lethal damage. As mentioned before, Gisa and Geralf and Sidisi, Undead Vizier help find combo pieces together, and can even find both halves of the combo on consecutive turns if Sidisi exploits herself. Of course, the deck has tons of tutors to find the pieces the easy way.
Another combo in this deck is Leyline of the Void and Helm of Obedience. Since cards never actually reach the opponent’s graveyard, simply activating the Helm for 1 will be enough to exile their entire library.
