Today TCGPlayer.com announced a Qualifier series to allow players to compete for points and prize to put towards their quest for the $75,000 Championship Tournament. You can read the full information on their site.
Each of these qualifiers is being run by a local tournament organizer and as such the prizes are being left up to the tournament organizer. TCGPlayer has a "suggested" level of prize but it is not enforced with the TO, so prize levels may vary beyond the TCGPlayer points offered.
TCGplayer.com Championship Qualifiers (TCQs) will be local events run throughout North America offering players the opportunity to qualify for the $75,000 TCGplayer,com Championship at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago 2011. The First TCQ season will run from August 28th through September 19th.
