Well here it is, 2010. The future! I got my flying car this morning, parked in my hoverway (driveways are so 2009) with a laser bow wrapped around it. What, you didn't get yours? I guess not. Too bad, it's pretty awesome. But let's stop and look back into the past, this past week. What happened in Magic? Who said what? There's a lot this week, even with Wizards only doing re-runs. Lots of great reading. The blogs were especially on top of it this week, good job guys!
Saturday, Dec. 26th
- GoodGamery.com - From the Vault: Jace - Made me laugh out loud. It's a very funny spoof of the From the Vault series with some pretty good fake Magic card ideas.
Sunday, Dec. 27th
- GwafaHazid blog - The Price of Extended - The wrapup and summary of Russel's excellent coverage of the top Extended decks and prices.
Monday, Dec. 28th
- ChannelFireball - Initial Tech. - Full Speed Ahead - LSV drops some knowledge about time management, an important skill for aspiring pro players. That dude is smart.
- StarCityGames - Would Legacy Be Better Off Without Tarmogoyf? - An interesting discussion about whether Goyf should be removed from Legacy. Though it isn't one of the main formats, it's still a good format to play and understand.
- StarCityGames - The Justice League – When Buildings Collapse - Max gives an excellent explanation of what Judges do when stuff goes wrong.
Tuesday, Dec. 29th
- ManaNation - Unusual Magic Art - I found some pretty nifty non-standard Magic art stuff and decided to do a short post about them.
- ChannelFireball - A Better Way to Build - An excellent piece from Jon Loucks about deck building and sideboard planning. Pretty complex at points, but a good read and educational too!
- PureMTGO - Zendikar's Red Commons - I've really enjoyed William Spaniel's colored common analysis, so here is his Red one. Check out his others too!
- QuietSpeculation - 2009s' Hits and Flops - Russel T. of Gwafa Hazid's blog guest posted on Quiet Speculation and it was a good read about the Hit and Flop cards of 2009.
- ShadowSketched - Countering Blightning - I liked this concept, he talks about how to handle Jund's big weapon: Blightning. Nothing earth shattering but good writing and interesting ideas.
Wednesday, Dec. 30th
- MullDrifting - Interview with Dan Reiner PTQ Winner - We don't see enough just straight up interviews. Wizards does some, but not enough. This is cool to see the interview with a PTQ winner, and Lauren does a great job with it.
Thursday, Dec. 31st
- ManaNation - Rainbow Stairwell Explored - Ben runs a little late but he brought a brief overview of a different casual format, Rainbow Stairwell.
- ManaNation - Looking Back Over 2009 - I take a step back and reviews the year, what happened to it!?
- ManaNation - Magic Economics - Hunters, Mentors and Instigators - Kelly smells something fishy and tries to figure out what the heck is going on.
- StarCityGames - Welcome Back to Extended - Gavin talks about Extended and he talks to players who don't know much about Extended.
- GatheringMagic - Bazaar Trader - An interesting take on what the revealed 'Bazaar Trader' could do in Worldwake.
Friday, Jan. 1st

- ChannelFireball - This Time It'll Be Different, I Swear! - Zaiem blows your mind by discussing how he is actually you, and so his goals should be your goals.
Happy New Year and welcome to 2010. Let's rock it!
