Wizard World Tours (no relation to Wizards of the Coast) have a new, smaller, schedule for the coming year. Where previously they boasted over a dozen conventions, they now list only eight Comic Cons: Mid-Ohio, Austin, New Orleans, Toronto, New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. Of these, the Los Angeles show is still TBA on what dates it will be held.

Wizard World had previously partnered with TCGPlayer.com to put on the TCGPlayer.com tournament series up to just a few weeks ago when they cut ties, removed all mention of the series, and did not respond to any inquiries about the cause of the action. TCGPlayer.com took up the mantle and ran their $75,000 championship this past weekend, shouldering all the costs associated with it. The tournament was won by Todd Anderson, who took home the $20,000 first place prize.
