Today on DailyMTG.com, Wizards announced a few more changes for the 2012 competitive season, the cliff notes are:

• World Championships will no longer be a Pro tour style event, it will feature 16 players.
• National Championships will no longer feed into a larger event and will instead be allowed to grow and expand as reflects their locale and community.
• Pro points and the pro player club will stop after 2012, to be replaced by a new system in 2013.
• Pro player club obligations will be upheld through 2012.
