Wizards of the Coast just issued a press-release as follows concerning the new Vice President of Marketing, Jerome Lalin.

Jerome Lalin Spearheads Marketing Charge
October 27, 2010—Renton, WA—Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) and the leader in entertaining the lifestyle gamer, today announced Jerome Lalin as the new Vice President of Marketing.
Lalin comes to Wizards from Turbine, Inc. (publisher of massively multiplayer online games) where he was the Vice President of Marketing. While at Turbine, Lalin was the driving force behind the “free to play” business model for the Dungeons & Dragons® Online™ and The Lord of the Rings® Online™ role-playing games.

Prior to Turbine, Lalin held numerous marketing and development roles at Houghton Mifflin and Vivendi giving him a wealth of experience in publishing, gaming and retail business. Particularly exciting for Wizards of the Coast, Lalin transformed the business models for key brands that have both digital and analog platforms.
