The dates for the 2013 World Magic Cup Qualifiers have been announced. This year's WMCQs will be held on April 6-7, April 20-21, and June 1-2 in 71 countries, and the winner of each WMCQ will earn an invitation and airfare to the 2013 World Magic Cup, to be held in Amsterdam on August 1-3.

All participants in the WMCQs will receive a foil alternate art Vengevine, and the top 8 players will receive a Chandra playmat to commemorate their achievement.

The event is not open to all players, as you must hit a yearly planeswalker points threshold to be qualified to enter, and the thresholds are different than they were last year. To qualify to play in the United States, for example, you must have 500 yearly planeswalker points by March 17th.

In the US, the WMCQs will be in Santa Clara, California on April 6, Washington, D.C. on April 20, and Rosemont, Illinois on June 1. More information on other countries' events can be found here.
