I love gaming. I own the bigger, blacker box. I have every Ascension release. I definitely have classics like Catan, which even my wife will play. Magic might be my core, but I'll try any game at least once (and often more).
It should be no surprise then that I'm a fan of TableTop, the weekly board game series featuring Wil Wheaton. I'm sure many of you have seen it before and watch it too. What might surprise you is that there's a similar series dedicated to just Magic: Spellslingers.
I never got into competitive StarCraft, so the history and mystery around Day[9]/Shawn Plott is lost on me. He's a great guy and I had the chance to watch him play at Pro Tour Dragon's Maze when I was on the coverage team.
He was funny, and I was hooked. Watching the first and second episodes of Spellslingers reminded me how big Magic really is, and how easy it is to take everything a little too seriously. To see what I mean, check out this exclusive peek at this Wednesday's episode, where Sean faces off against Jesse Cox (someone else I find entertaining to watch):
Whether you're just getting into the game or have been playing for years like me, I think you'll enjoy things Sean brings out in Spellslingers. The next episode comes out this Wednesday!
