Today we got some more details about HASCON and the Magic related events at the showcase. The convention, taking place September 8-10 in Providence, Rhode Island, United States, will help to kick off Magic's 25th Anniversary. This will include information on Ixalan and a PreRelease for the newly announced Iconic Masters.

Iconic Masters is a set that "set brings an array of Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, Dragons, and Hydras alongside some of our favorite and most memorable spells over the game's entire history." The Prerelease at HASCON will be a so-called "old-school Prerelease" in that the list of cards in the set will not be made available. Instead, the set will be released on November 17. The set will be packaged like other Masters sets, in Booster Boxes with 24 packs; each pack will have a premium card.

HASCON will help to kick off the 25th Anniversary celebration and we can expect more information in the coming months, including at June's Announcement Day.
