Welcome back everyone! Recently, Historic got a new anthology and in that anthology we got Tarmogoyf! Tarmogoyf at one one time was an amazing creature and a finisher for aggro, midrange, and even control decks. This was back when we did not have strong removal like Fatal Push or nine Doom Blade variants. So, I wanted to see how Tarmogoyf would do now and sleeved up trusty Jund.
Let us go ahead and look at the decklist!

I was pleasantly surprised to have over a 70% win rate with the deck in about twenty matches. I even used this list to go 7-0 in the Historic Metagame challenge. It appears that Tarmogoyf is still decent, even with all the Fatal Pushes running around. I did run some odd cards like Pact Weapon. Pact Weapon is just a very solid card against aggressive strategies Game 1 as they usually tend to not have a lot of removal, especially Mono-Red decks. So, putting the weapon on Tarmogoyf or Elder Gargaroth is usually game over if Goyf is big enough. The Hourglass Coven is here to for the end game and to mimic boomer Broodmate Dragon! Instead of two 4/4 fliers we get three 3/3s with some abilities, solid card! I like this deck and if you are a fan of midrange, give it a whirl!
That's it for today, thanks for reading/watching!
