Perhaps due in part to his lucky Forked Bolt, Grzegorz Kowalski managed to take down GP Lyon with his R/G Eldrazi List. Facing off in the Top 8 against four copies of Mono-Green Tron, Jeskai Control, and two copies of Abzan, Kowalski had his work cut out for him. In the end, it was down to one final match between Kowalski and Marcio Carvalho and his Abzan list.

Thanks to a handful of Reality Smashers, Kowalski came out on top and took the Trophy in his fifth GP Top 8 and first victory. Congratulations to Grzegorz Kowalski on his first GP win!
