Disney Lorcana Azurite Sea releases nationwide!

Disney Lorcana's sixth set, Azurite Sea, released nationwide. Previously, hobby stores had products available to purchase on the 15th. However, with the addition of the larger big box stores, we should see a steady supply to navigate through the holiday season. It's nice to see the supply continue to meet the demand for this set, in comparison to navigating through all of The First Chapter, Rise of the Floodborn, and Into the Inklands. With the introduction of big box supplies, we'll most likely see some impact on the market for singles, so if you were waiting for a deal, now's probably one of the next best times to buy. Highlights for top performing decks this past week

The release of a new set means the gears start turning for new deck lists. Over the last week, we've seen some results that are great indicators on where the meta is starting to shape up. First, let's take a look at a first place list for the event "Tournoi FTL - Le plus perfide de tous les tournois" in France.

We're seeing great choices of inclusions here that indicate Amethyst/Emerald got some great additions from this set. Diablo - Obedient Raven provides value as early as turn one, forcing your opponent to deal with it to prevent steady lore gain from follow up turns. Once he's dealt with, he replaces himself once banished with an additional card draw. We also see an inclusion of Gazelle - Angel with Horns, granting Evasive to another chosen character of the turn. This helps with pesky characters with Evasive early on, or providing some defense if your opponent has no answers for Evasive themselves. Go Go Tomago - Darting Dynamo has been a complete threat since announced, and seeing it in effect is even scarier. It's not uncommon for this character to help push the additional lore needed to close a game out when dealing with opposing characters with large willpower values. I appreciate the fact that this comes in one of the starter decks, which should help keep the price at a reasonable level as there continues to be more interest in her. The White Rose - Jewel of the Garden is another great non-interactive way to gain lore. With bounce effects from Madam Mim - Fox and lore gain from Merlin - Goat, you continue to have a toolbox of options to help you over the finish line. Last, but certainly not least, Genie - Wish Fulfilled has been slated to be one of the most impactful cards for Amethyst in this set. Closely resembling Merlin - Rabbit, Genie has an added effect of being Evasive and questing for two lore over drawing a card once it leaves play. This excellent trade off makes it to where we are more consistent in our 4-ink slot to maintain card advantage. Genie continues to gain value as the meta forms and I can assure you he'll be around for much longer.

Ed Chiu continues to show you that Ruby/Amethyst isn't dead, and actually gained a few tools to keep it consistent to its core. Again, we're seeing Genie - Wish Fulfilled here which is a clear indicator on its value early on this meta. In this list, we're also seeing Maui - Half-Shark here which was highly speculated to make a splash. Because of it's effect, it looks like Ed is testing out Dragon Fire again, a throwback to The First Chapter. Congratulations to Ed Chu on 1st place at Battle of the Bay I!
